Appena le ho viste me ne sono subito innamorata! Sono i bellissimi sandali di Aldo, un negozio che ho avuto modo di conoscere durante il mio primo viaggio a Londra. Costavano 88 euro e ora sono in offerta a 64! Sarebbe stata veramente un'occasione.. ma sfortunatamente il negozio on line non effettua spedizioni in Italia! :( Ieri però ho scoperto che un negozio su ebay ne ha un paio molto molto simile...e costano solo 17 euro! Sono tentata.. Che dite?

It was love at first sight! I mean for the beautiful sandals by ALDO, a store that I have known during my first visit in London (Camden Town). Some months ago they cost 88 euros, now they are in sale at 64! It could be a great bargain.. Unfortunately the Shop on Line doesn't make deliveries to Italy! Yesterday I found a cool ebay store that has a very similar pair! and they cost only 17 euros! I'm tempted to buy them! What about? CHEAP AND CHIC?

Monsoon fashion at the monsoon store. This is one store that can be out of the price range for many especially the dresses at Monsoon. It's one of those shops you visit after you've made purchases at the usual cheaper high street stores to enjoy window shopping and looking at the glam dresses.

The brand is a fair trade company, meaning that the people involved in making the clothes are fairly paid for their time. Which is one reason why they clothes are more expensive. Another reason for more pricey items is that most of their items are hand made or hand finished using natural fibres rather than man made.

A few years ago I cast Monsoon off as more suited to older middle class people and wouldn't even consider dresses at Monsoon unless I was going in with my mother.

The ranges are more up to date now and modern and appeal to the younger crowd looking for a nice dress as well as the older crowd. I would say the casual clothing is too expensive for normal everyday wear. They aren't unique enough from other high street stores to merit the higher prices.

As for the dresses it's a different story. Not only do some people feel quite posh and sophisticated wearing a Monsoon dress, they also stand out from the crowd. The classic simple styles are elegant and sexy at the same time which is perfect for formal evening occasions such as balls, parties and weddings.

Silk stockings first made their major debut in 1940s, but the actual history of silk stockings dates back to 16th century. In the 16th century, the raw silk that was imported into England was used in an extensive way for manufacturing silk stockings. Before this, the ready-to-use silk stockings from Naples were being exported from Livorno to England.

A majority of women believed that silk stockings added luxury to middle class dressing, thus giving a classic and royal look. For this sole reason, silk stockings were successful in capturing their place in the markets in 1627. The success was so wonderful that 40 years later English stockings were exported to Italy and all over the world.

Silk stockings were not only successful with common women. Names like Queen Elizabeth and Marilyn Monroe were also big fans. Marilyn Monroe used to wear them and hers are even preserved today with as much care and delicacy as a Ming vase.

In 1925, short dresses were very popular as legs were an indication of an active lifestyle. In the post-war years fully-fashioned silk stockings managed to increase the sale of traditional circular knit hosiery.

Silk stockings were considered as an erotic icon in their own right. Only skin color was preferred but as the production and demand increased, colors like beige and brown became favorites.

Silk stockings lend a glamorous retro look. The increased use of make up and visible silk-clad legs accentuated a new, sophisticated and more liberated feminist look. This was more prominent among younger women who were self-confident and had an optimistic outlook towards life.

However, with the introduction of nylon the passion for silk did not disappear completely. This is proved by the fact that even today there are still at least two companies in the world which make pure silk seamless stockings according to the growing demand.

Now this may include that how you dress up, what you eat, and even what is your behavior under certain conditions. This all is included in the stream of fashion. Every native, non-native or any person of any race, creed or cast all over the world has likely to have one thing in common. A particular strip in the universe wears gowns; another mass is likely to eat Chinese food. These are all traits, that depict fashion and this specific style and way of living is the identity of any particular group for what they are known for.

The modern enhancements and the global industrial revolution has set up sundry trends that have an impact directly, or in directly in to one's individual and social life style. There are certain trends set up in a particular society that drenches the group members into a common replete identical life style. Wearing the latest is considered to be amongst the trend setting fashion in the modern societies. Branding has successfully enabled the entrepreneurs to communicate to their target market at a very niche level and so this has become the need of one's life to wear what is in the market and by what they could become cynosure of all eyes.
