scarf in lieu of a necklace?

it's a super rainy, yucky day here in alabama. hope it's not that way for everybody else!
i'm interested to hear your thoughts on this one. recently, i've been loving scarves in lieu of necklaces on some outfits. what do you think? you love it or no?
