Backtrack: MY BIRTHDAY.

Happy Thursday, ladies!
I'm finally getting around to sharing my birthday with you guys! We had a super low key celebration, which was just perfect. All I wanted to do was spend my special day with my two favorites: Presley & Nathan hanging out & enjoying each other's company. We are all always so busy, always going in 100 different directions & about half the time, we aren't even in the same state, so this was a nice break from all that. We ate at this little pizza place I love & just spent the rest of the evening lounging around with each other & laughing. A perfect birthday.

We got everybody together for a taco party! I laughed until it HURT with my friends. Good times, good times. And guess what else? Tomorrow is my birthday!

what a fun day! we spent the afternoon at lucy's (my eventual step child) birthday party...then on to the pool...then onto a yummy mexican food dinner. pretty much all of my favorite things! the birthday party was so fun...her fun mama let her have pink hair! we had such a great time. i sure do love this little girl.

a party of epic proportions.

hello, hello!
last wednesday was my sweet presley laine's sixth birthday. we had the best day! it started with her favorite breakfast (special k with fresh strawberries & a doughnut with sprinkles), served in bed, with a birthday balloon. (*yes, that is a baby bottle with milk in it. the child loves baby bottles & about once a year, she convinces me to give her one. i know, it's different.) we made 24 red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing the night before to share with her school friends. her daddy had lunch with her at school & brought the cupcakes we made for her class. after school, we had all our friends & family over for a "make your own pizza" birthday party. the girls made little pizzas, we opened gifts, played with silly string, had a pinata, and then...i unveiled my greatest baking accomplishment to date...the a-MAZ-ing 6 layer rainbow birthday cake. my little sunshine loved it & so did everyone else! i'd say the birthday was a big success. i guess now my only question is how i am going to top this next year? ;)

a super awesome day with the kiddos.

hello, hello, & happy saturday!
if you follow my facebook/twitter, you know i've been home alone for the past few days. the boy is out of town playing with his band. my sister had some mary kay stuff going on. my kiddo was visiting my mama & the boy's kiddo was with her mama. i didn't know what to do with all my free time. i basically bummed it big time, & lasted all of about one day before i wanted everyone back home where they belong. we still haven't totally reassembled the whole crew yet, but we're getting close.
well, today the kiddos came back, and we had a super awesome time celebrating the 4th birthday of a close friend...those folks know how to throw a party! check out the photos. we had a blast! (& i totally went down that huge waterslide...a lot.)
tomorrow we're shooting for ebv kiddos, so that should be an adventure. sneak peek of those pics tomorrow night or maybe monday.
